This policy explains how ExperTrait Consulting & Management Limited ("ExperTrait", "we", "us") handles personal information collected through www.expertraitconsulting.com, including the pages of ExperTrait Media, ExperTrait Strategy & Advisory and ExperTrait Travel. These are business units of one company, and ExperTrait is the data controller for all of them.
Information we collect
We only collect information you choose to give us through our forms:
- Enquiry and contact forms: your name, email address, phone number (if provided), organisation, and the details of your enquiry.
- Media proposal requests: the type of service, event or delivery date, location and budget range, if you provide them.
- Pro-bono applications: organisation details, contact details and information about your mission and needs.
- Travel interest forms: contact details, current country, destination, intended intake or relocation date, programme level or occupation, passport status, English proficiency, budget or salary expectations, and any notes you add.
We don't use advertising cookies or build marketing profiles from your visits.
How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and provide the information, proposal or service you asked for.
- To assess applications (for example pro-bono or visa advisory) and to contact you about them.
- To keep records of our communications and meet our legal and regulatory obligations.
We process this information because you asked us to (taking steps at your request before entering into an agreement), with your consent, and for our legitimate interest in running and improving our services. We don't sell your information.
Who we share it with
Your information is handled by the ExperTrait team responsible for your enquiry. It is stored with trusted service providers who host our website and database (including Vercel and Neon) and, where enabled, the email service that notifies our team of new enquiries. These providers process data on our behalf and may store it outside Nigeria, including in the European Union. For travel and visa matters, we only share your information with institutions, employers or authorities with your agreement, as part of the service you've asked for.
Analytics and cookies
We may use privacy-friendly, cookie-free analytics to understand how pages are used in aggregate. A strictly necessary session cookie is used only when ExperTrait staff sign in to the site's administration area.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry information for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any engagement that follows, and to meet legal obligations. After that, we delete or anonymise it.
Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and, where it applies, the EU and UK GDPR, you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent at any time. You may also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission or your local data protection authority.
